The short version: new to crystals? “Cleansing” just means keeping them clean and, by tradition, refreshed. Start simple and mind each stone’s hardness and water-sensitivity.
Easiest starting methods: a soft dry cloth for dust; a selenite plate for a no-water option; or a night under the full moon. Save water rinses for hard quartz-family stones, and keep selenite, malachite, and other soft or soluble minerals dry.
A quick rule: if you’re unsure whether a stone can get wet, don’t — use a dry method instead.
Browse selenite or ask our staff at a Sedona shop.
