How to Cleanse Crystals with Selenite

How to Cleanse Crystals with Selenite

The short version: selenite is a translucent variety of gypsum with a soft satin glow. It’s the stone many people use as a dry “cleansing” surface for their other crystals — no water needed (selenite itself dissolves in water).

How people use it: rest tumbled stones, jewelry, or smaller crystals on a selenite plate or wand overnight. Because it’s a dry method, it suits water-sensitive stones that can’t be rinsed.

Care: selenite is soft (Mohs 2) and water-soluble — keep it dry and handle gently; a damp cloth will dull the surface.

Shop our selenite collection or see it at a Sedona shop.
