The weight and smoothness of fluorite shaped to sit in the hand.
Fluorite is calcium fluoride (CaF²), a halide mineral, Mohs hardness 4 with perfect octahedral cleavage in four directions. The palm-stone form is cut and polished specifically for hand contact—a wider oval with a smooth, slightly domed surface. Fluorite's color range runs from colorless through green, purple, yellow, and blue, all driven by trace impurities and lattice defects rather than changes in the base chemistry; many specimens show multiple color zones in a single piece. Principal deposits come from China, Mexico, and southern Illinois.
The name fluorite comes from the Latin fluere—to flow—a reference to its use as a metallurgical flux before it was recognized as a mineral in its own right. Ancient Chinese and Roman lapidaries worked it into ornaments, often mistaking it for jade. In tradition it is associated with all chakras and with mental focus and calm.
A stone shaped for the hand—smooth enough to carry in a pocket, substantial enough to feel purposeful when held.
Every crystal is hand-picked for exceptional beauty, quality and energetic integrity, then vortex-charged in Sedona’s sacred energy. This process infuses each piece with a high-frequency presence, delivering a crystal experience that feels as powerful as it looks.
