Cavansite (CaV(Si⊂4;O⊂10;)·4H⊂2;O) is a rare calcium vanadium phyllosilicate, its saturated blue color deriving from the vanadium in its structure. The overwhelming majority of known specimens come from the Pune district of Maharashtra, India, where cavansite forms in the vesicles of basalt alongside apophyllite and stilbite. Scolecite is a calcium-bearing zeolite (CaAl⊂2;Si⊂3;O⊂1;⊂0;·3H⊂2;O) — white to colorless, needle-like crystals that form in the same basaltic cavities. The two minerals share a formation environment but not a structure, and the contrast of blue cavansite clusters against white scolecite needles makes this pairing visually distinctive in any form. This pendulum suspends the combination point-down for pendulum use.

In the chakra tradition, cavansite is associated with the throat and third-eye chakras, scolecite with the crown chakra. Together, the pendant spans the upper chakra sequence. The pendulum form is a long-standing tool in dowsing and reflective practice.
