One of the oldest stones in adornment history, set in silver and ready to wear.
Turquoise is a phosphate mineral—copper aluminum phosphate—with Mohs hardness 5–6, its color ranging from sky blue to teal depending on copper and iron content. This oval cabochon is set in solid .925 sterling silver. Turquoise has been in continuous use as adornment since at least 3000 BCE: ancient Egyptians buried their dead with it, Persian traders carried it for its reputed protective value, and the Aztecs incorporated it into ceremonial objects. Major modern sources include Iran, the Sinai Peninsula, China, and the American Southwest.
In the chakra tradition, turquoise is associated with the throat chakra and with clear, honest communication.
A classic pendant for everyday wear—backed by a geological and cultural lineage that goes back millennia.
