A bracelet of multicolored jasper whose name says everything about the pattern.
Fancy jasper is a trade name for opaque microcrystalline quartz (SiO²) with irregular mottled or banded patches of green, yellow, cream, rust, and red—the colors come from varying iron oxide content distributed unevenly through the chalcedony matrix during formation. Mohs hardness is 6.5–7. Most commercial fancy jasper comes from India. The beads are drilled, tumbled smooth, and strung on elastic.
Jasper has been shaped as a protective talisman and ceremonial stone across cultures bordering the Mediterranean since antiquity; ancient priests and leaders in Egypt, Mesopotamia, and Greece wore jasper as a stone of strength and authority. In the chakra tradition it is associated with the root chakra and with grounding and calm.
An everyday bracelet—the mottled pattern means each bead is distinct, and the stone's hardness holds up to regular wear.
