A continuous band of green that ranges from pale celadon to deep forest.
Nephrite is one of two distinct minerals sold as jade—the other being jadeite—and is a calcium magnesium silicate (actinolite-tremolite series), Mohs 6–6.5, with a fibrous interlocking crystal structure that makes it exceptionally tough despite moderate hardness. Major nephrite deposits are found in British Columbia, New Zealand, Russia, and China. This bracelet strings polished nephrite beads, each bead carrying the stone's characteristic waxy luster and natural color variation.
Jade artifacts from East Asia date to the Stone Age, roughly 6,000 years ago; Mayan and Aztec cultures worked jadeite for both spiritual and practical purpose. In tradition, jade is associated with the heart chakra, prosperity, and protection—in many cultures it is given to mark new beginnings.
For the collector who values both provenance and wearability—nephrite holds its edge for generations.
