Two of the oldest ritual tools in the mineral and botanical record—selenite and white sage—in one kit.
Selenite is a crystalline form of gypsum (calcium sulfate dihydrate, CaSO&sub4;·2H&sub2;O), Mohs 2, with a distinctive fiber-optic luminescence and a silky, striated cleavage surface. It is one of the few minerals that is not itself piezoelectric yet is consistently used to reset the energy field of other stones in lapidary tradition. White sage (Salvia apiana) is native to the coastal sage scrub of Southern California and Baja; it has been burned as a purifying smoke in Indigenous North American ceremonies for documented centuries. The kit includes a selenite wand or slab and a bundle of dried white sage.
In contemporary crystal practice, selenite is placed under or alongside other stones to reset their energetic charge without water—important because many minerals (selenite included) should not be submerged. Smoke from burning sage is used to pass stones, spaces, and objects through the rising plume as a clearing ritual drawn from Indigenous smudging practice.
