Sedona’s Permian sandstone, carved into a heart — 270 million years of geology in a classic form.
The red rock formations surrounding Sedona are principally the Schnebly Hill Formation — a sequence of sandstones and mudstones laid down approximately 270–280 million years ago in coastal and shallow-marine environments. The iron content of those ancient sediments was exposed to oxygen as the sea retreated, oxidizing to hematite and staining the rock in tones ranging from pale ochre to deep brick red. This heart is carved and polished from that formation material, the color and fine grain texture of the original sandstone preserved in the finished form.
The Yavapai-Apache Nation has recognized Sedona’s landscape as sacred ground for centuries. In the chakra tradition, Sedona red rock is associated with the root and sacral chakras and with the grounding sense of being connected to a specific place and its long geological and human history.
A carved piece that reads as both a geological specimen and a keepsake — equally suited to a shelf, a gift, or a trail-side altar.
Every crystal is hand-picked for exceptional beauty, quality and energetic integrity, then vortex-charged in Sedona’s sacred energy. This process infuses each piece with a high-frequency presence, delivering a crystal experience that feels as powerful as it looks.
I love the Sedona heart, actually a part of the beautiful Cathedral Rock surrounding area and knowing it’s from the vortex area is so special!
