Faceted quartz that holds the color of afternoon sun.
Citrine is the yellow-to-amber variety of quartz; its color comes from trace iron locked into the crystal's silicate structure during growth. The commercial supply is predominantly amethyst that has been slowly heated to 400–500°C—a stable, long-used practice that shifts purple quartz toward gold. These earrings set faceted stones in solid .925 sterling silver, sized to move with the ear without overwhelming it.
November's birthstone across most traditions, citrine was used ornamentally by the ancient Scots, Greeks, and Egyptians and has been called a gift of the sun in cultures across centuries. In the solar plexus chakra tradition it is linked with confidence and clear intention.
A light, polished pair designed for daily wear.
