Soft orbs of green, pink, and cream float across a polished point that tapers to a clean apex.
Ocean jasper is a spherulitic chalcedony, not a true jasper. Its round orbicular markings form when silica-rich fluids precipitate radially from mineral nuclei within the host rock, building concentric spheres of slightly different composition and color. The only known source is the tidal coast of northwestern Madagascar, where the outcrop is accessible only at low tide. Polishing this material into a point cross-sections the orbs, revealing their layered interior structure. Mohs approximately 6.5–7.
In the chakra tradition, ocean jasper is associated with the heart chakra and valued for its visual and tactile quality of stillness. The Madagascar provenance connects the stone to one of the world's most mineralogically diverse island sources.
