The blue that civilizations have carried for five thousand years.
Turquoise is a phosphate mineral—copper aluminum phosphate—with Mohs hardness 5–6, its sky-to-teal color produced by copper in the crystal structure. This stone is set in a Cranston-style solid .925 sterling silver pendant. Turquoise has been mined and traded since at least 3000 BCE; the ancient Egyptians buried their dead with it, Persian traders prized it for its spiritual significance, and the Aztecs incorporated it into ceremonial masks. Major modern sources include Iran, the American Southwest, China, and the Sinai Peninsula.
In the chakra tradition, turquoise is associated with the throat chakra and with honest, clear communication. It is one of the oldest adornment stones in recorded history.
A pendant with deep cultural lineage—and color that reads well against any collar.
