Two points, one stone — the grey-brown of smoky quartz bleeding into the warm gold of citrine without a visible seam.

Smoky citrine is a natural color zoning within a single quartz crystal: regions where background irradiation produced smoky tones gradient into zones where iron impurities in the growth environment produced yellow-gold. This double-terminated point is polished on both ends and along its faces, letting both color zones show simultaneously. Major deposits come from Madagascar, Brazil, and the Congo, with smaller occurrences in Norway. Citrine this deep and this blended with smoky tones is relatively uncommon as a natural specimen — most commercial yellow quartz is amethyst that has been heated to 400–500°C to convert the color.

In practice, smoky citrine is associated with the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras. The double-terminated form — pointed at both ends — is a long-standing lapidary shape used as a focal piece or held during reflection.
