A sphere with a shimmer that moves when you turn it in the light.
Green aventurine is quartz studded with microscopic platelets of fuchsite—a chromium-bearing variety of muscovite mica. Those platelets are aligned in parallel planes within the quartz matrix, and when light strikes them at the right angle they reflect simultaneously, producing the glittering optical effect called aventurescence. Mohs hardness is 7. Major commercial deposits come from India, Brazil, and Russia. This piece is ground and polished to a full sphere, which requires cutting across the crystal in every direction—the shimmer shifts as the angle changes.
Tumbled green aventurine has been found at archaeological sites in Ethiopia dating back nearly two million years, one of the earliest known uses of stone as tool and ornament. In ancient Chinese practice the stone was associated with the Bodhisattva of Mercy; in Celtic and Greek tradition it was linked to fertility and the energies of the natural world. Today it is associated with the heart chakra.
A polished sphere for a stand, shelf, or meditation space—weight and smoothness make it satisfying to hold.
Every crystal is hand-picked for exceptional beauty, quality and energetic integrity, then vortex-charged in Sedona’s sacred energy. This process infuses each piece with a high-frequency presence, delivering a crystal experience that feels as powerful as it looks.
