A sphere where the inside of the stone looks like something was caught mid-flight.
Feather agate is a variety of chalcedony—microcrystalline quartz (SiO²)—in which mineral inclusions or flow patterns during crystallization formed feather- or plume-like structures within the stone. Agate generally forms in the gas cavities of volcanic rock, where silica-rich fluid deposits in concentric layers over time; the feathering pattern results from specific conditions of fluid inclusion, trace minerals, or colloidal silica behavior during that deposition. Mohs hardness is 6.5–7. The sphere form requires grinding across every plane of the stone, which reveals the internal structure at the surface in every direction.
Agate has been used as an ornamental and talismanic stone across cultures for thousands of years. In the chakra tradition it is linked to the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras and to balance and grounding. Note that spheres are individually cut from natural material and vary in the feathering pattern and color at each piece.
A display sphere for a stand, desk, or shelf—the feather pattern is the point, and no two are identical.
Every crystal is hand-picked for exceptional beauty, quality and energetic integrity, then vortex-charged in Sedona’s sacred energy. This process infuses each piece with a high-frequency presence, delivering a crystal experience that feels as powerful as it looks.
