Two terminated points in a single setting—a lapidary form that puts the crystal's geometry on display.
Thulite is a manganese-bearing variety of zoisite (Ca2Al3(SiO4)3(OH)), its pink color a direct product of manganese substituting into the crystal lattice in place of calcium. This double-terminated point is cut so that both ends taper to a natural-looking apex, suspending the stone between two directions at once. Set in solid .925 sterling silver.
First formally described from specimens collected in Norway in 1820, thulite takes its name from the mythologized northern land of Thule. Norway remains the primary source; the stone is also found in North Carolina, Australia, and Austria. In the chakra tradition it corresponds to the higher heart and heart chakras.
A statement pendant—the double-point form gives it both length and a clear focal geometry.
