An egg-shaped form cut to show the aventurescence from every direction at once.
Sunstone is a feldspar—oligoclase or orthoclase—containing hematite or goethite platelets in parallel layers within the crystal. Light entering the stone scatters off those platelets and returns as a glittering, coppery shimmer: aventurescence. The egg form has no flat facets to interrupt the viewing surface, so the effect plays continuously across the curve as the piece is turned. Mohs hardness 6–6.5. Primary sources include Oregon, India, and Norway.
In the chakra tradition, sunstone is placed at the solar plexus and sacral centers, the chakras associated with vitality and personal will. The egg is a long-standing form in lapidary work—shaped to be turned in the hand rather than displayed flat.
A display and handling piece equally—the aventurescence is best seen in motion.
Every crystal is hand-picked for exceptional beauty, quality and energetic integrity, then vortex-charged in Sedona’s sacred energy. This process infuses each piece with a high-frequency presence, delivering a crystal experience that feels as powerful as it looks.
